This is from Campbell Park Road looking towards Monkton with the old METUPA Stadium on the right.

The wagons going down past the METUPA on previous photo will emerge on the left and cross the road here at Monkton..

Driving up over these crossings takes us into Monkton Village, with the Lord Nelson Pub 200 yds on the right.This 'Crossings' cabin is long gone.

The Bowes line heading towards Jarrow Park, with the edge of the 'Slag Heap' on the left.

After passing Jarrow Park, the line is coming upto Albert Rd crossing around where the Shed next to the line stands.

This is Albert Rd crossing. Hebburn is left, Jarrow right. Straight ahead is to the Staiths.

A view of Albert Rd crossing 11 yrs later with automatic barriers to stop the traffic..

After crossing Albert Rd, the trucks went to the Staiths at the riverside. Simpsons Hostel can be seen on this view.

This is the train returning empty & approaching Albert Rd crossing then up between Jarrow Park & the 'Tube Work's'.
